Glen Coblens has over 25 years of coaching experience at youth, high school, college, professional and international levels, winning three gold medals in international competition and coach of the year honors. Currently leading a junior basketball program, mentoring youth coaches and organizing tournaments, Glen has been instrumental in forming youth programs for Portland area high schools. He founded PDX Hoops, the premier youth training program in the Portland metro area as well as the Coblens’ Cage Camp, conducting youth basketball camps and clinics and training for youth coaches. Glen has served as a Sports Psychology consultant, developing the Competitive Skills Training (CST) program teaching athletes to incorporate visual imagery, relaxation, positive self-talk and goal setting to enhance performance and improve self-esteem. Building on CST, Glen created 3’s for VICTORY, a reference guide for athletes to achieve success.

After enjoying a career in the sports and fitness industry, Glen successfully created and led a new business division within the health and wellness industry. Graduating with a B.S. in Psychology from Western Oregon University, he earned a graduate degree in Exercise Science from Portland State University. A former two-sport college athlete, Glen’s passion for training continues by competing in masters basketball, triathlons and running events.
